Brief
To develop and deliver a programme of interactive work that will consult with and capture young peoples thoughts towards key elements of the National Tobacco Strategy consultation.
Results
Gibber engaged with 30 young people from across the region and facilitated production of a DVD – Hear our Voice which resulted in six short films that capture the young peoples thoughts about, branding, product placement, banning the sale of packs of ten cigarettes, counterfeit cigarettes, banning cigarette vending machines and point of sale advertising. This was successfully delivered to the Department of Health as part of the consultation process. The DVD is now being used to stimulate further interest amongst young people and ongoing lobbying in tobacco control.
