Client: Chartered Institute of Building
Format: A 10 minute interactive roadshow that was repeated throughout the day.
Brief
The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) were due to attend the Great Yorkshire Show, with over 100,000 people attending the 250 acre show ground over the three days. CIOB approached Gibber to design and deliver a road show that would raise their profile helping the CIOB brand stand out in the crowd.
Methodology
Gibber devised and delivered a series of interactive road show performances that were presented at regular intervals throughout the three days. Using a blend of fast paced drama, dance, live music and humour Gibber focussed upon:
• Who the Chartered Institute of Building are.
• Construction management as a worthwhile career.
• Highlighting where to go and who to talk to for more information
and advice.
Results
Gibber guaranteed the CIOB that their ‘roadshow’ performance would gather a crowd and we were true to our word. Each time the Gibber team took to the stage attendees watched the road show and actively took part in the interactive quizzes with the CIOB message being delivered throughout.
Once Gibber had gathered the crowd and engaged them in the road show the CIOB staff were able to hand out leaflets and engage interested parties in discussion about the services they offered. Between performances Gibber delivery staff walked around the site in character to engage attendees and signpost interested parties to the CIOB stand.
