Participants from across Newcastle and North Tyneside completed another successful Work Experience Challenge last week with renewed motivation and confidence in their search for employment.

After completing (and enjoying!) a series of employability workshops with Gibbers community delivery team in week 1 the 20 participants were split into 3 teams and assigned a Gibber team leader ready for the challenge of week 2...
Over 3 days the teams visited 6 diverse employers where they were presented with a work based challenge. Gibber would like to thank all the employers who took part, your time and expertise was fully appreciated and the participants all stated that they had benefited massively from the experience.

The WE Challenge is less than 16 hours a week so doesnt affect benefits - lunch and travel expenses are provided and child care can be paid for if needed.
It is designed for anyone who is wanting to build their confidence improve their communication, team work, problem solving skills, interview techniques - All the things that employers are looking for. You can also met new friends, win prizes and ultimately move closer to the right job for you.
