| TIM Company
Director |
 |
 |
Tim co-founded
Gibber based on an ideal that everyone deserves a chance to realise
their own potential.
“We all have our own barriers to
progression but some people don’t have the confidence or motivation
to do anything about them.”
Having recognised the power of experiential drama based learning Tim
set about putting a team together with a focus on positive engagement
and empowering the individual. Tim has worked extensively as both
an actor and facilitator using drama as a learning tool since the
mid 90’s. |
Working
with people of all ages and abilities Tim has learnt the value of
using humour to break down barriers and is a strong believer in facilitating
rather than lecturing.
“People want to find out the answers
for themselves and I believe they should be encouraged to do so.
By providing them with a fun, safe and positive environment to work
in we can help them towards a self realisation of who they are and
what they can and want to achieve.”
As well as the day to day running of the company Tim continues to
write and edit scripts as well as keeping his hand in with the occasional
programme delivery. |

she worked professionally in TV, Film and Theatre for over 10 years
and then went on to study Social Care Practice and Person Centred
Counselling.
She is involved in the development of all our programmes of work:
“I have always believed in the use of drama
- whether it be, forum theatre, role play, facilitated discussion
or interactive exercises - as an effective medium that provides a
real learning experience for everyone involved.
Drama breaks down barriers and is fully inclusive, |
for me it creates an equality,it cuts across class, gender, ethnicity,
age – all the isms. Within the confines of a Gibber drama based
experience there is a shared focus, we are all equal, no one is judged,
we are allowed to make mistakes, express ourselves, feel vulnerable
and challenge ourselves to discover solutions together.
I have experienced the changes in peoples lives and seen the difference
drama based learning can make to a workforce, it really does work.”
Vicky works closely with the client to ensure learning objectives
are identified and incorporated into sessions creating a bespoke package
that is appropriate, challenging and well researched.
